Why this is my last Glossybox

I've been subscribed to Glossybox for a while now and when i first signed up i was very pleased with the boxes i received, now i signed up for a particular reason to get to try out new and exciting products and to be able to sample luxury products that i would have never have been able to try out before. They no longer promote the luxury samples part on their website, it seems they have completely rechanged as a company and the last few boxes have well not impressed as me as much. Now theres lots of things i could really rant about including some of the customer service issues i have received, this  simply wouldn't be put up with by customers at any other company.
Lastly i don't feel happy receiving samples i can pick up for free. I think that i wouldn't spend my £12 on these products anyway so i'd rather put that £12 a month towards beauty products i'd really like. I don't want to sound so negative, if there a exciting boxes again then i would happily re-subscribe.

My last box is the September issue which i received for free using my glossydots.
This months box came very prettyly designed (By Maggie Li, i'm not sure who that is but she makes cute boxes) unfortunately my box was broken and battered, this isn't glossyboxes fault but i did find my box behind next door neighbors shed. great.

This is what i received
Lady Gaga  Fame Fragrance This is a 1.2ml sample, its pretty new so its nice to try it out, although i'm not actually a perfume person, it has a floral fragrance
Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream I do like balance me products, i really enjoyed using one of their lip salves until i some how lost it :( so i look forward to trying this out. I like how Balance Me products all display how natural they are, this at 99%.
Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream see what i mean about luxury samples.. i've tried this before and  i did actually like it, it doesn't contain SPF so this is why i wouldn't repurchase it but this is a nice sample size and perfect for taking traveling.

l'oreal Professional Full Volume Mousse - i've not really used mousses before as i don't feel i need volume but i will give this a try, this also came with a smooth control gel cream, i've yet to work out how to use this as it doesn't say.
Rodial Glamoxy Snake Serum - Snake serum? that doesn't sound good! there are 4 sachets here, 2 serums and 2 masks, I do love face masks so i will give them a go, i'm unsure on the other 2.

  1. I kept realizing this actually, with all the bloggers that review the glossybox, its mainly made up of samples, and maybe a couple of cheap looking full sized products. I would never subscribe to that box and this is the real reason why I didn't subscribe because I wanted to realize what would happen. This is the results. Its a shame. I don't blame you for not wanting to pay 12 pound a month for this. Its not worth it at all!
You could've gotten the Lady Gaga sample at your local drugstore.. That is just ridiculous!

  2. I felt the same way about Birchbox and cancelled it after a few months. I recently read an article that ranked all of the beauty box services and ipsy piqued my interest enough for me to give it a try. I just got word from them that my box will arrive in mid-April and I hope it's good! Birchbox was notorious for sending granola bars...? I mean, sure, I like granola bars as much as the next guy, but I don't want one in a beauty box! :)
